We have already planned that we will start at morning for Kodaikanal. So we started with local bus as follows to kodaikanal:
Munnar(8:00AM) to Theni – 3 hrs @ Rs 94 for 2 people
Theni to VathalaGundu – 1 hr @ Rs 30
VathalaGundu to Kodaikanal – 4 hrs @ Rs 40
So total Munnar to kodaikanal with Local Bus = 8 hrs / Rs 164 / 2 nature lover.
Really tough to her to bear rock and roll mountains. Felt quite worried for that. So you require some lemon and salt here. Personally, liked way to Munnar more breathtaking than kodaikanal.. Just took 15 pics till Kodai. Then we reached the Anna salai bus stand. We have booked Hotel Apple Valley. 1 km downhill to bus stand. Hotel was nice but the the back side balcony is facing slum and a mosque which will alarm 5 or 6 in morning. Some time takes the moments away ;). As we were tired so we took some rest. After that we went out for a market walk and places near to hotel.
First, we walked uphill to the bus stand and searched for the north Indian food. On main road saw one named as “Punjabi Dhaba”. Food was really bad. Then we walked to Coaker’s walk, near to the bus stand. Nice view from their in night.

At 7:00 PM the gates were closed for Coaker’s walk also their is entry fee and camera or mobile fee around Rs 15. In night it was calm, and full of lake of stars around us. Nice to sit and enjoy there. Then we returned back to Hotel and took some kodai tea. Walking downhill that was really steep as running, having cup tea sips. Nice day. Waited for next day sight seeing and took rest.
