Kolkata (Calcutta, Bengal) Bandh : a day to enjoy

Kolkata-StrikeNot going into any political viewpoint, the bandh(strike) is a time to enjoy anyway. You stay at home or sleep or do what ever you like at home.

But we had to reach workplace by 5:00 AM in the morning before the bandh starts. Really annoying to wake up so early and that to when slept late at night. Never mind something needs to be ignored.

Airlines Review – Hong Kong DragonAir (Shanghai to Hong Kong)

The trip from Shanghai to Hong Kong was the first time we’ve flown with Hong Kong DragonAir Airlines. We got this booked for our return journey to home·land India.

It was a great last year, full of new colors, cool lovely friends and lots of fun in Shanghai. So, a year in Shanghai, China will be in our upcoming posts.

Partner’s Kolkata’s marathon initiated by the Amity Kolkata to raise donation and create awareness for educating the underprivileged girl children.

Exploring Navadvip Nadia in Ferry

Navadvip (also Navadwip, Navadvipa or Nabadwipdham) is a city in Nadia district, West Bengal, India near to Kolkata. Its name means “9 islands” in the Bengali language. The islands are Antardwip , Simantadwip, Rudradwip, Madhyadwip, Godrumdwip, Ritudwip, Jahnudwip, Modadrumdwip, and Koladwip. The islands are centered on Antardvipa (Sri Mayapur). We traveled the way across exploring navadvip nadia in ferry which was a crowded experience yet joyful.

Sri Mayapur Iskcon kolkata is the spiritual world headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. We did 2 day trip to explore for you. A visit to Sri Mayapur was never on our mind while stay in Kolkata.

However when planning our way from Kolkata to Sri Mayapur, we discovered that the best way to get to Sri Mayapur was through booking service provided by ISKCON House (033 64588777, 32488041). We didn’t need to think twice about booking the tickets for 10 heads :).
